Feel and Live Better with a Chiropractic Adjustment
When your back is in alignment, you are able to live your life normally. However, many different factors can easily degrade your posture, which drastically affects how you feel, act, and live. On top of that, situations such as sports injuries and sudden trauma can bring your back out of alignment and create unnecessary pressure. You deserve to live a life free from pain. At St. Paul Chiropractic & Natural Medicine Center, we help patients overcome their back and spinal pain. Contact the clinic to schedule a chiropractic adjustment and return to performing the activities you love.
The Art of Chiropractic Care
Your body has the innate ability to heal itself. Chiropractic care improves your body’s ability to heal and overcome pain. Many of these procedures are based on the knowledge of the central nervous system. As the system that interprets and sends signals throughout the human body, the nervous system plays a direct role in how your body perceives sensations and how to react to them.
If your nerves are under pressure due to a misalignment between your bones and muscles, then you will feel pain and have difficulty moving. Chiropractic care remedies these ailments by readjusting the position of your bones. As a result, you will take the pressure off your nerves and regain a better range of motion. In addition, a chiropractic adjustment aids in the reduction of inflammation caused by muscle, tendon, and joint conditions. These treatments help improve blood circulation, which enhances your overall well-being.
The Benefits of a Spine Adjustment
Improve your posture and circulation with a spine adjustment. This noninvasive procedure involves moving your vertebrae back into their “natural” positions. As a result, the pressure put on your spinal cord is lessened, which greatly reduces the sensations of pain, numbness, and tingling. Spine adjustments are ideal for patients suffering from herniated discs or similar back pain.

What is Applied Kinesiology (AK)
The triad of health lists the three basic causes of health problems. They are structural, chemical, and mental, with structure as the base of the triad. Literally, all health problems, whether functional or pathological, are involved with one part or all parts of the triad. This is not new to chiropractic, as its founder, D.D. Palmer states in his text, “The Science, Art, and Philosophy of Chiropractic,” “The determining causes of disease are traumatism, poison and autosuggestion.” AK enables the doctor to evaluate the triad’s functional balance and direct therapy toward the imbalanced side or sides.
The physician who is aware of the triad of health, and evaluates every patient for all three sides, increases his ability to find the basic underlying cause of a patient´s health problem. AK skills are developed and approved by the International College of Applied Kinesiology Board of Standards.
These skills are refined from many disciplines including Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Medicine, Dentistry, Acupuncture, Biochemistry, Psychology, Homeopathy, and Naturopathy etc. Members of these professions share knowledge through the publications and conferences of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK) and its chapters.
