About St. Paul Chiropractic & Natural Medicine Center | Where Experience Meets Heart

A Journey of Learning, Growing, and Never Forgetting Where We Came From

Twenty-five years ago, I opened my first clinic with more enthusiasm than experience. I had big dreams about helping people feel better, but honestly? I had no idea what I was getting into.

Looking back now, I’m grateful for every challenge, every patient who taught me something new, and every door that opened to show me better ways to serve the people who trust us with their care. What started as one guy with a passion for natural healing has become something much bigger—a team dedicated to solving health problems that other providers often can’t.

If you’re tired of treatments that only work temporarily, we’d love to show you what’s possible when experience meets genuine care.

The Road That Led Us Here: Learning Through Serving Others

My story isn’t unique—small-town Minnesota kid who wanted to help people feel better. What makes our practice different is what happened along the way, and how those experiences shaped the comprehensive approach we offer today.

The Early Years: Building a Foundation (2000-2008)

When I opened my first clinic in 2000, just a mile from where we are now, my goal was simple: provide excellent chiropractic care and help people in my community live healthier lives. As a Highland Park graduate serving the neighborhoods that shaped me, I felt called to give back to the place that gave me so much.

Those first eight years were successful—I was building a strong patient base and getting good clinical results. By most measures, the practice was doing well, even above average for our area. But here’s what chiropractic school doesn’t teach you: there’s a huge difference between knowing how to treat patients and knowing how to run a practice that can serve people at the highest level. I realized I had an incredible opportunity to learn from Dr. Hansen, who had mastered both the clinical excellence, and the business systems needed to truly serve communities effectively. The chance to work in a multi-clinic environment with established systems and procedures? That was exactly the kind of growth opportunity I’d been hoping for. It meant I could return to Minnesota not just as a good chiropractor, but as someone who knew how to build and run a practice that could help far more people than I ever could on my own.

The Learning Years: Gaining Perspective (2008-2013)

In 2008, I sold my practice and moved our family to Washington State, where I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Eddie Hansen at Natural Way Chiropractic. This wasn’t an easy decision—leaving Minnesota meant leaving family, friends, and everything familiar. But sometimes you have to step outside your comfort zone to gain the perspective you need to truly serve others.

Working in Dr. Hansen’s multi-clinic system was like getting a master’s degree in healthcare delivery. I learned systems and procedures I never would have discovered on my own. I worked alongside doctors with different specialties and saw how coordinated care could achieve results that individual treatments couldn’t match. Most importantly, I learned that successful healthcare isn’t just about having good intentions—it requires the business skills and organizational systems to deliver consistently excellent care.

Those four years in the Pacific Northwest were beautiful in many ways. Washington is stunning, and we met wonderful people. But Minnesota kept calling us home. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins—family connections that our children needed and we missed deeply. Sometimes you have to leave home to fully appreciate what it means to you.

Coming Home: Bringing It All Together (2013-2015)

We moved back to Minnesota in 2013, and I spent eighteen months working for a clinic in Uptown Minneapolis while planning what would become St. Paul Chiropractic & Natural Medicine Center. Those months gave me time to think about everything I’d learned and how I wanted to serve my community differently.

When we opened our doors in the spring of 2015 at 464 Hamline Ave South, we weren’t just starting another chiropractic clinic. We were creating something that combined the heart of hometown care with the sophisticated systems and treatment approaches I’d learned during our time away.

Ready to experience the difference that comes from combining small-town caring with advanced treatment systems? Let’s talk about how we can help you.

Our Philosophy: Fixing Problems, Not Just Managing Symptoms

Here’s what nearly 25 years of practice has taught me: most healthcare focuses on making you comfortable with your problems rather than actually solving them. Pain medications mask signals. Therapy sessions provide temporary relief. Procedures address symptoms without changing the underlying issues that created them.

We took a different path. Instead of accepting that chronic pain is just something people have to live with, we invested in technologies and developed protocols that address root causes. When someone walks out of our clinic feeling better than they have in years, it’s not because we’re miracle workers—it’s because we’ve learned to identify and treat the actual problems causing their symptoms.

The Technology Advantage

Our treatment arsenal includes four advanced systems that most clinics simply don’t offer:

Spinal Rejuvenation Therapy (S.R.T.) – Our proprietary rehabilitation system that can actually reverse spinal degeneration in early phases. While other providers tell patients that degenerative changes are “just aging,” we’re often able to restore normal spinal curves and eliminate chronic pain patterns.

KDT Neuroflex Spinal Decompression – Advanced disc healing technology that creates conditions for natural recovery without surgery. When other providers recommend spinal surgery, we’re often able to help discs heal themselves through precisely controlled negative pressure.

SoftWave Therapy – True broad-focused shockwave technology that increases stem cell production by 238% while activating cellular healing mechanisms. We’re one of the few clinics in Minnesota offering this advanced cellular healing approach.

Expert Chiropractic Care – The foundation that coordinates everything else, ensuring proper spinal alignment supports rather than undermines the healing created by our other technologies.

Why Integration Matters

The real breakthrough isn’t any single technology—it’s how they work together. Adjusting a misaligned spine helps immediately, but if the underlying disc problems and tissue damage aren’t addressed, the misalignment returns. Healing damaged tissues is important, but if the structural problems that caused the damage aren’t corrected, the improvements don’t last.

By addressing structural alignment, disc health, tissue healing, and cellular function simultaneously, we often achieve results that seemed impossible when treatments are applied individually.

Tired of treatments that only work temporarily? Experience what happens when everything works together toward a common goal.

Our Team: More Than Just Healthcare Providers

What makes our clinic special isn’t just the advanced technology—it’s the people who use it. Our team shares a commitment to solving problems rather than just managing them, and to treating every patient like a valued family member.

After 25 years of practice, we still feel privileged every day to participate in people’s healing journeys. Our patients have been the greatest teachers. Each challenging case that made us search for better solutions has contributed to the comprehensive approach we offer today.

Our Patient Care Team–Our specialists bring their own expertise while sharing our commitment to exceptional patient outcomes. We work as a coordinated team where everyone’s goal is the same: helping you achieve results you didn’t think were possible.

What unites us is gratitude—for the opportunity to do meaningful work, for the trust patients place in us, and for the knowledge that we can often help when other providers can’t. We never take that responsibility lightly.

Work with people who consider caring for you a privilege, not just a job. Meet our team and experience the difference.

What We Treat: When "Standard Care" Isn't Enough

Our comprehensive approach excels with conditions that resist conventional treatment. If you’ve been told you’ll have to live with your problem, or that surgery is your only option, we’d like to offer a different perspective.

Complex Spinal Problems – Degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and chronic pain patterns that haven’t responded to standard treatments.

Auto Accident Injuries – Multi-system trauma requiring coordinated soft tissue healing, spinal rehabilitation, and neurological recovery.

Work-Related Injuries – Repetitive strain injuries, occupational trauma, and compensation cases where return to work function is the priority.

Sports Injuries – Athletic trauma, performance optimization, and accelerated return-to-play protocols for competitive athletes.

Chronic Soft Tissue Problems – Tendinopathies, failed healing patterns, and conditions requiring cellular regeneration rather than just symptom management.

Failed Previous Treatments – Conditions that haven’t responded to medications, physical therapy, injections, or even surgery.

The common thread? These are problems that require a comprehensive approach rather than single-solution treatments. When multiple systems are involved, multiple treatment modalities working together often succeed where individual therapies fail.

Don’t accept “chronic” as permanent until you’ve tried a truly comprehensive approach. Find out what might be possible for your specific condition.

Why Patients Choose Us: Results Speak Louder Than Promises

After 25 years and thousands of patient interactions, patterns become clear. People choose our clinic because:

We Address Root Causes – Instead of managing symptoms indefinitely, we identify and treat the underlying problems causing your pain and dysfunction.

We Coordinate Multiple Effective Treatments – Rather than hoping individual therapies will somehow work together, we systematically integrate treatments that enhance each other’s effectiveness.

We Provide Education and Understanding – You deserve to understand what’s happening with your health and why we recommend specific treatments. Education empowers better outcomes.

We Focus on Lasting Results – Our goal isn’t to see you forever—it’s to solve your problem and teach you how to maintain your improvement independently.

We Handle Complex Cases – When other providers say “there’s nothing more we can do,” we often find solutions through our comprehensive approach.

Experience healthcare that actually solves problems instead of just managing them. Schedule your consultation and discover what comprehensive care can achieve.

Your First Step: From Uncertainty to Confidence

If you’re reading this, you’re probably dealing with a health problem that’s been frustrating to resolve. Maybe you’ve tried multiple treatments with limited success. Perhaps you’re skeptical that anything can really help.

That skepticism is understandable—and actually healthy. You should expect any healthcare provider to explain clearly what they can do for your specific situation and provide realistic expectations about outcomes and timelines.

What to Expect When You Contact Us

Honest Assessment – We’ll tell you whether we think we can help your specific condition, and if we can’t, we’ll point you toward someone who might.

Clear Communication – No medical jargon or confusing explanations. You’ll understand what’s wrong and what we recommend doing about it.

Realistic Expectations – We’d rather under-promise and over-deliver than create unrealistic hopes about what treatment can accomplish.

Transparent Pricing – You’ll know what everything costs before we begin, with no surprises or pressure tactics.

Comprehensive Solutions – If we can help you, you’ll receive coordinated care that addresses all aspects of your condition rather than just the most obvious symptoms.
